"If I create from the heart, nearly everything works; if from the head, almost nothing"
-Marc Chagall

I started my business, From The Heart, in 1982 and I recently came across this quote by Marc Chagall that really applies to my creative experience. I call myself an artist currently creating jewelry, working in the media of polymer clay and Precious Metal Clay (PMC). My artistic path has traveled through painting, ceramics, stained glass, fiber arts, decorative painting, polymer clay, beadwork and PMC.

I create one-of-a-kind and limited editions of beads and jewelry and I personally handcraft all the pieces. Each piece of wearable art is unique, the color, patterns and designs are constantly changing. Available jewelry may vary from those pictured here. If you are interested in any items shown here, please contact me for availability.

Polymer Clay is synthetic clay. I enjoy the rich colors. It's like working with 3-D paint.

PMC Precious Metal Clay is a new medium developed in Japan. It's manipulated like clay and fired in a kiln to achieve a finished piece in fine silver.

She started her freelance business to encompass her varied interest in painting, sculpting, and design. With her discovery of the wonders of polymer clay, it gradually took prominence in her creative life. Now she is incorporating polymer clay with glass, metal, beads, and PMC. She is devoted to sharing the excitement of these media through teaching, shows, magazine articles, and demonstrations. Janet particularly enjoys creating small, wearable works of art.
